In a studio apartment, you have to get creative with how you use every square foot. I built this high-top table to act as a multi-purpose hub—it serves as extra kitchen prep space, a dining area, and even a workspace for the living area. I paired a birch butcher block top, finished with a food-safe sealant, with a simple 2x4 base painted to match the rest of the room.

This project definitely tested my precision. Getting the angles right for the "X" base was a real challenge, and I also had to notch the base to fit perfectly around a post near the wall. It required a lot of careful measuring to ensure everything lined up, but it was well worth the effort. It has made the entire space feel much more functional and organized.
