This personal project was an experiment in industrial joinery and structural alignment. The goal was to create a refined, decorative nightstand using Redwood slabs and black iron piping.

Unlike traditional furniture, this build required a high degree of precision to ensure the vertical supports remained perfectly plumb through the multi-level construction. By carefully measuring and drilling the connection points for the threaded connectors, I was able to create a stable, level piece that maintains a clean, high-end aesthetic. The warm, natural grain of the Redwood is preserved with a clear sealant, providing a beautiful contrast to the matte black hardware.
